This was our first and last Norwegian cruise. There are far too many cruising options to accept horrible service.

Food - Buffet: went only when there was no other option (which in and of itself is wrong). The offerings were low quality and tasteless.

Main Dining Room: quality and taste wise, think Applebee’s. Service was atrocious. Two plus hours for a meal. If you wanted a drink, ask for two up front, because the chance of a soft drink refill or a second glass of wine was non existent. We literally sat for 25 minutes for one meal before a waiter came to see us. He was very apologetic and explained he’d been serving in another area of the ship and just got to this dining room.
