This was our third November cruise to the Caribbean , my wife, adult son and I, and all have been on the Eurodam. We want a get- away relaxing cruise prior to the Holidays.

We stay at the Homewood Suites near the Airport /cruise port. Arrive the day before , go to the Rustic Inn for seafood, very close to the hotel. Then a $20 plus tip cab ride the next day to the ship. Arrived about 1100am at the Eurodam. Gave porters the luggage then off to check in. Went quick , then received a number, we were group #5. Boarding started by 1130-1145am and on the ship at the Lido deck for lunch. Really one of the better lunches we have had on any ship the first day ( or else I was really hungry!). Rooms were ready to go well before 100pm, luggage arrived and we do our "put everything away ASAP ritual".

We were deck 8 , just below the Lido deck and a great location...except for the smokers to the rear of the Lido deck.. I smoke a cigar now and then so no big deal , but the smoke did drift down to deck 8 . Who said smoke rises ? Overall, the cruise was good. Great service by an Indonesian/Philipino crew. Food in the Lido at breakfast and lunch very good. Only negative due from the hurricane. We had a couple excursions cancelled , But we did a beach excursion at Grand Turk. You could see the destruction as we went to the beach, weather not good, misty so we left to go back to the ship.Grand Turk needs a little more work yet.
