Ship is beautiful, cabins well maintained and serviced by friendly and efficient staff. Tours are very well organized and set so that you know what tours you are scheduled for before setting sail.

Food is one of the most important attributes of a great cruise. Viking has failed to deliver in the main dining room, specialty restaurants and the buffet. Classic dishes were poorly made. Often got cold and pre-made dishes. Sparse attention payed to local cuisine. Wait and service staff spottily trained. Management tried hard to make up for these deficiencies, but only partly succeeded.
