This was cruise #3 with Regent. The experience on the Explorer was the best. Everyone was like the former Cheers show where "everyone knows your name." Amazing memories of staffers who may have only seen you once or twice the entire week. Must have access to the photos of cruisers to have those memories.
Loved the new ship. If someone couldn't have a good time on the ship, they can't have a good time anywhere. Port visits were intensive. I finally cried uncle after a few days and stayed on the ship for peace and solitude for two of the days. Some of the excursions seemed repetitive. Guides were excellent. Wish the excursions would not start before 9 or 9:30 a.m.
Otherwise, it's like going to work and getting up super early to shower, shave, etc., and wolf down breakfast before racing downstairs to the Constellation Theatre to pick up bus number, wait in line to exit the ship, etc.

How can you complain about marble walled floors, vanities and plenty of hot water in the bathroom -- plus double vanities? Satellite TV and movies were splendid. Large balcony which I never found time to enjoy due to rushing around. Heavenly bed.
I did expect more American electric outlets. Fortunately, I took extra European adapters.
Marriott Flora was the hotel assigned for the pre-cruise one night stay. Great location and friendly staff. Wonderful buffet.
Interesting little walled town. Would not make a repeat visit, but great experience walking around.
Great university town with an all-day street sale while we were there. Would go back there if I had time.
