I am a little late getting this review up. We sailed on the Splendor out of Fort Lauderdale on Aug. 5th. It was an 8 day with stops in Grand Turk, Aruba, Curacao, and La Romana, D.R.
We flew down the night before from Cincinnati and stayed at a Hilton the had 24 hr airport pickup. We didn't land till 11pm. The next morning we took and uber over to the port with no problems. We did have to stand in line after checking in to get to an area where we were seated till our number was called. Besides the wait, which wasn't too long, everything went smooth. Once on board, we headed to lunch, to our rooms, and just hung out till the drill. Our sign and sail cards were in our mailbox waiting for us when we went to our rooms. No problems. We stayed on the 8th floor. Room was fine, we always get an interior room. Lido was right above us and a couple nights during parties you hear both the music and the feet stomping. Did it bother us....NO. Slept like a baby.
Our room steward was very nice. He had 37 rooms to clean. I also got to meet his son who worked in room service. Very nice men. We are not messy people, so he didn't have too much he had to do in our room. I did ask for towel animals each night and besides the first night, we had one every evening. We did opt for evening service.
Interior mid ship cabin. I am not sure of the category. We had no problems with our room.
Just a fun day keeping an eye our son as we bar hopped. Jacks shack and the Whale. Both have very good drinks.
