We had been on 3 different cruise lines, Celebrity, Royal and NCL. My wife and I wanted to take a cruise to the ABC Islands with Celebrity. We have been talking with 2 other couples that have spent all of their cruises on Carnival ships. We told them we like the style of cruising on Celebrity, so we all booked this cruise. The only disapointment was the change of Falmouth, Jamaica for the stop in Key West, Florida due the hurricane.
We were worried that despite the great ships, service and food our friends would not like the cruise enought to justifiy the extra cost. The worry was all for naught, as they all just loved the cruise and have booked two more Celebrity cruises for next year.
The crew was top notch, terriffic service and willing to help with any of our needs or wants.
A nice cabin, very good location. Enjoyed the veranda, some mornings we had 4 people out there for coffee. Lots of storage and hangers
Was a nice stop, the only draw back was we were in port on a Sunday. The two big familes that run the island feel that they should give their worker the day off, so there were only a handful of stores and shops open
Walked around the port area, and went swimming just down the beach from the ship, great fun.
We split up our group, some went on a tour to the beach near the airport, this later included lunch and a drive past the salt flats and southern end of the island.
Our group headed down the way toward the shops and the harbor. There was a sailing regata going on and so we had a great time seeing the sailing and all along the beach road were stands selling items and lots of food stands and activity
our group of 6 thought that Bonaire was our favorite port on this trip
