We were booked onto this cruise via our UK tour operator Audley Travel in conjunction with the local agent Tour Mandalay. The trip was fantastic. The crew were so charming and attentive. The accommodation was spacious and comfortable. The food was excellent and the tour guide and the excursions we made were interesting and informative. A wonderful experience. We left the harbourside at the old city of Bagan and headed up stream towards Mandalay, stopping en route at the bustling city of Pakokku to see local craft weaving and thanaka (the traditional Myanmar skin care paste) production. On day two we visited the lively village of Yandabo to see their hand made pottery businesses that supply traditional water pots to the whole of the country. Here we also visited a nursery and school set up by the Pandaw charity. It was a charming experience. We wish the trip could have been longer.
