Sail Date: Sep 2017

Having been on several cruises, we wanted to try a small ship and experience the Norwegian west coast fjords. The actual trip was a good experience with friendly crew members, interesting fellow travelers and the very majestic scenery. We had really good weather and were treated to the Northern Lights on several evenings. The Nordnorge was fun to sail on.

However, I cannot be as positive about the booking. My experience was very mixed. At first some very helpful U.S. based agents assisted me after online booking left many questions. But later, we did not receive our printed vouchers, trip summary, luggage tags and pre-boarding information etc. until 2 days before we flew to Bergen. We had booked 9 months in advance. Then part of the supposedly included activities were not in fact included but needed extra payment. My advice would be to book thru a travel agent because I did not receive and could not find out key information unless I initiated the questions - for example how to find the transfer bus ,where were the needed vouchers, times to arrive etc., flight arrival and departure times for them to schedule transfers (they never asked, just guessed and all needed to be changed).

So a great trip, but the US booking personnel need to upgrade their game.
