We chose this cruise mainly due to the Baltimore departure port, which for us meant a 550 mile drive vs a 1100 one to Miami. I think everyone on board picked this cruise for that reason as it seemed like 90% of the passengers were from within 3 hours of Baltimore. We stayed at La Quinta in Glen Burnie and that was a very good experience. Our room was 129 bucks, and that included breakfast, transport to and from the ship, and parking for our vehicle for the week. The staff there was outstanding - highly recommend. We were traveling with 3 teenagers. My daughters loved the club 02 program, and spent most evenings with there buddies till very late. The food on lido was pretty good. My son and husband loved the Guy Fiero burgers. The menu in the main dining for lunch was limited. Dinners were pretty good in the main restaurant - lots of choices and unique things to try. First elegant night was lobster...yum - I had two! Our waiter was kind of stuffy. Our cabin stewardess, MIKA was amazing. We loved her! The two shows we saw, 88 keys and the 80s show was pretty good. The first two comedians were lame, but the next two they had were great. On the ports of call, we hit Half Moon Cay, Nassau and Freeport. Half Moon Cay - TIP bring a bunch of cereal from the ship, or grab chips at the buffet and crunch them up, then fee the fish, they will swarm you like crazy, lots of fun. We wished we had brought our snorkel gear, would've been nice to just snorkel there on the beach and feed the fish. At Nassau we went scuba diving with like 100 sharks, no lie. I've never even seen a shark, and am petrified of them, but there i was swimming close enough to them to touch them! It was amazing how they just hang out with you, no problem. Freeport we did this Western Heritage snorkel tour which was kind of blah, but nice to get into the water again. Our cabin was a cabin, nothing special, but fit the bill. I would say this would be a good cruise for first timers, but for experienced cruisers, I'd skip it.
