Choose this cruise to get from Cape Town to United Kingdom as it was at the best time. Queen Victoria was not till end of month should have waited. Astor suite was beautiful really big well furnished with a lovely stewardess . It was an island of comfort in an otherwise mediocre ship. The astor needs a huge dose of TLC, znd some decent money spent on it. Food was OK, breakfast was OK but very predictable, we like tea in a tea pot every teapot was chipped with lids that didn’t fit, that was indicative of the standard of the ship. Crew were very nice, but struggling against the odds. The gym very basic and all instructions in German, considering the ship had spent 6 months cruising Australia a complete lavk of attention to detail . Disembarkation the premium suites were advertised as disembark at your leisure, they were in such a hurry to get every one off as coach loads of embarking passengers had arrived, and coaches for Victoria had arrived, just called everyone together. It was a rugby scrum of 800 passengers. Customer service have not answered my emails after 5 months.
