We have travelled almost 60 days with Princess and have been very satisfied in the past...but something has changed. The food was uninspired and repetitive for such a long cruise. There was no organized bridge for 40-50 daily players--even though a dining room was eventually supplied along with cards, pencils and a few bidding boxes. On a previous long cruise, we had the room as well as complimentary coffee, tea, water and cookies each day. Not this time. The shows were well done and the individual performances were acceptable. The morning lecturer on various crimes was interesting.

The towels felt like sandpaper---and this ship is only 3 years old. Beds were very hard although I heard, too late, that a mattress topper could have been requested. We had an issue with wine one evening---the recommended bottle was terrible. When we asked to choose another one, we were told that the waiter would have to check with his head waiter to see if he could open a bottle for us to taste! I was told that there was no wine steward on the ship, but the asst. waiters had been trained. Really? The asst. waiter is now the expert.

Our main issue was too many promotions--make-up, spa, art, jewelry, alcohol, watches. It was constant and quite annoying. One evening, the waiter(s) approached us four times to buy a specialty drink. Very intrusive.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Balcony

Cabin DE

Clean, roomy enough. Plenty of storage. Steward very good.

Port Reviews

Greenock (Glasgow)

Kelvingrove Museum was very different with unusual exhibits---from furniture, to art, to nature. Most enjoyable.

Cobh (Cork)

Trip to Waterford was long. Pub lunch was terribly greasy. Waterford factory was interesting, but maybe not worth the long drive.
