Cabin: Mini-Suite with Balcony

This was our first time with Princess. We loved how on embarking, you were not forced to eat in the buffet. Past cruises have guided all guests to this area. So, that was a good start. Because most of the activities were scattered in other areas of the ship, the atrium was a relaxing place to sit and listen to the music, while enjoying a tea or coffee. Didn't like having to pay for a pot of tea though! On other ships, tea and coffee were free, but, it was worth it to have the tea made properly, in a pot. Loved the afternoon tea served in the dining room, at no extra charge. It was also nice to be able to sit and have a sandwich and a pastry in the atrium area. Less temptation than going to the buffet! Cabin could do with a bit of TLC. Cracked tiles in the bathroom. Activities got a bit repetitive and shows were not as good to other cruise ships we have been on. Shore excursions were a little rushed. Could have done with more time in the towns. However, the staff were the friendliest staff we have ever experienced on a cruise ship, and every one of them spoke almost perfect English. Disembarking was also very well organized. I am assuming that, because this was a transatlantic cruise, and longer than some cruises, was the reason that there were not too many children on board. We found that most of the passengers were our age or older, and the activities were geared to our demographic. It may have been our first time with Princess, but it won't be our last. I would recommend them to friends and family without hesitation.

Mini-Suite with Balcony

Cabin M1

I am not sure which category mini suite we had. The cabin itself was nice, but the bathroom needed upgrading. There were cracked tiles on the walls, close to the floor, and the seal around the bath tub had been patched up, badly.
