I have sail on the Norwegian Escape with my husband and had such a great time. I saw that they had this Europe destination to Rome on the Epic so I decided that I would like to try the Epic. First, don't this to others that tell you that this ship, crew and food are not amazing. First the embarkation was so smooth out of Barcelona. Easy to get on and enjoy lunch. I came on this cruise with my 21 year old son. He was surprised how nice everything was on the Epic. He was a little scared because he has only taken Carnival ships before. I would recommend the bar in the atrium, some of the best bartenders on the ship. For food I would recommend the Shanghai's restaurant that is part of the free restaurants on the ship. I ate there every night. They have a noodle bar where they make the food fresh in front of you. The crew director was the same one I had on Escape. And I think that he got even better being on the Epic. The shows were fun. Please go see Burn the dance floor. Amazing dancers and amazing shows. The activities on the ship from bean bag toss to battle of the sexes extremely fun. The main dining rooms gave great services. There was only one thing I really think they need to fix on the ship is the bathroom. The shower on the side is fine, but the toilet area is a little tiny.

You can't beat the value of this cruise. Last thing is pick the beverage package. It is so worth the money.

Cabin Review

Inside

Cabin ID

The inside cabin is one of the best I have been in on a cruise ship and this is my 8th cruise. I always select inside because its cozy and you are hardly in your room. The price and size was amazing on the Epic

Port Reviews

Barcelona

Barcelona was a beautiful place to come on the boat. The city is easy to get around in.

Naples

When getting of the boat there is an option of the red bus that is Hop on Hop off. It tours you around the city. Its awesome because you can get off the bus anywhere on the route, and then get back on. For the money it was worth the price.

Florence (Livorno)

The Pisa tour was amazing. The bus drops you off about 2 miles from the leaning tower. It was an easy and beautiful walk to the tower. Cost was about 15 euros a person.

Cannes

Cannes is somewhere that you can leave the boat and find beautiful shops and views of the city. I walked around shopping and was very glad I did.

Marseille

I did the hop on hop off bus again at this location. You can take a 10 minute walk from the port to get to the beach.
