We were told Allure was a great ship with lots to do, but the crowds made me feel like I was at Disney in the Summer. There is a lot to do on the ship, but you are always surrounded with a crowd. The pools are small and during sunny sea days they are elbow to elbow in the middle of the day. Use them during off peak hours. Kids pool was closed. Good thing there were not that many kids on board. The parade on the promenade was like crowded and it was a constant fight to see what was going on. The shopping days felt like I was out during black Friday.
Mama Mia and the Elvis show were great, but get there early because you might not get a seat. The main dining room waiters were great and the food is great. Lots of things were nice like the rock climbing wall, zip line, and boogie board. We could not get tickets to ice skate because they were always full. If you want to do something, get there at least 30 minutes early. This makes the cruise more stressful than it should be in my opinion.
Overall, you can't beat the price for 4 people to see 3 ports. Your time is limited at the ports, so make the most of it while you are there.
Nice cabin with balcony. 2 adult and 2 kids (8 & 10) fit just fine. We did not really use balcony that much and probably could have just gotten a window room. It would have been nice to have a lounge chair instead of normal upright chairs on the balcony.
Its you average port. Drive in, unload, and board the ship.
