Started off flying into FLL just after it opened from Irma. Breezed through the airport as few passengers were there but plenty of TSA agents. No hotel available due to loss of power. Stayed with friends that had power. This would be my only complaint is that there was little available lodging for people coming in for the cruise and possibly should have been canceled. This was our 15 cruise with Celebrity and the Solstice class ships are our favorite. Especially the ones with glass blowing. The Equinox was clean, crew was very friendly and found out the Captain was the same one we sailed to Russia/Japan with. Had early dining with an exceptional waitress. Food was excellent and only dined once in the Tuscan Grill to celebrate a birthday and traveling companions anniversary. The night of the Tuscan Grill could have been better but they compensated us for our experience. Entertainment was good and we tend to spend most of our time at the Hot Glass Shows. We actually won a piece at their charity auction on the last day of the cruise. Service was beyond excellent. Always pleasant to meet and talk to crew members. Only one port was changed from Key West to Jamaica so not too bad. We already have another cruise booked on the Eclipse next year. Yes, it is an older clientele that sails on Celebrity but that's fine with us since we're in our 60s. Wife did scuba in Bonaire and Aruba but the excursions from the ship tend to get beginners mixed with experienced divers. Takes a little bit away from the excursion. All in all, we highly recommend the Equinox and her sister ships.

Deluxe Veranda 2B

Cabin 2B

Typical Celebrity veranda stateroom. Well kept by our steward. Celebrity provided distilled water for my CPAP.

Port Reviews

Grand Cayman (Georgetown)

Sunday in Grand Caymen was a little disappointing. Most stores are closed so shopping in town was a no-go. We hired a private tour(four of us) and she took us to most of the touristy spots. Hell, turtle/dolphin etc.for $20.

Aruba

Rented a car and drove out to Baby Beach. Nice drive and a great beach. Restaurant isn't too bad. Food was good but just a tad pricey. Would definately go there again. Easy to drive but cars generally have to be back earlier than we would have liked. At night the only thing open was a few restaurants and casinos in the ships area.

Bonaire

Wife enjoyed the diving but always does since we've been here many times with dive groups. We rented a car and drove our friends around the island to all the tourist sites and to some we've never been to. Always love coming here.
