Overall we loved this cruise. The Pearl had recently undergone a dry dock and I found the ship to be beautifully maintained and very clean. We were traveling with our 3 children who were 15, 11 and almost 2 at the time of sailing.

We stayed in the Haven and I found the Haven experience to be quite remarkable. We loved the Courtyard and had breakfast and lunch delivered daily by the pool valet. He remembered our preferences, such as my middle son wanting the pancake toppings on the side. Because of traveling with a toddler, we found the Courtyard to be the perfect place to have a meal and not be stressed by keeping a toddler entertained.

With the layout of the ship, I found the Promenade area was quite congested. Having only one side for traffic through half the ship made a choke point. It's my one complaint about the ship and ship's design overall, it just felt crowded. This made me doubly appreciative of the Haven. I would definitely sail the Pearl again, but only has a Haven guest because I'm not a fan of the crowded feeling.

Cabin Review

Courtyard Villa with Balcony

Cabin H4

We had a 2 bedroom villa on the Haven. Our room was directly across from the door to enter the Courtyard and was a perfect location for us. The second bedroom comfortably slept my older 2 kids. We had a pack & play setup in the area between our bed and the bathroom and there was plenty of space. This room also has a little cordless phone that can be used across the entire ship. We mainly used it when letting the olders babysit the toddler so that they could give us a call if there were problems (there weren't but it gave us piece of mind).

We LOVED the bathtub with the big window and my daughter made use of it every night. We brought bubble bath on board. The bed facing the tub window made for some wonderful natural light for the master bedroom & bathroom. There was a heavy curtain at the foot of the bed if you preferred not to have the light.

We LOVED this cabin and I found it to be incredibly comfortable for our family of 5. There was plenty of storage and they even had hooks mounted in the master bathroom area.

The small table was kept stocked with fresh fruit daily (which we ate every day) and our butler also brought afternoon treats. The table is not really big enough for more than 2 to dine at if you have any meals delivered.

Port Reviews

Seattle

We loved the city and wished we'd flown in earlier to have more time to explore. We had time to visit the Space Needle and Chihuly Gardens. Chihuly was AMAZING and I'd say a must see.
