Here is a quick mini-review of this New England and Canada cruise from our perspective. Overall, we had a great time. The ship did not seem terribly crowded except for the Esplanade and that was because of all the sales. This was our third time on a Quantum class ship and this cruise confirmed what we already knew – this is our second favorite class of ship after Radiance class. When Spectrum of the Seas comes on line we may have to consider a leg or two of the repositioning to China!

Pre-Cruise Hotel: We stayed at the Country Inn and Suites. It was perfectly adequate for one night before the cruise and a quick ride to the cruise port. Breakfast was weak and very crowded but that was the only complaint. We used the paid transfer from the hotel to the port but in hindsight we should have used Lyft or Uber. If you can get a reasonable deal on the Embassy Suites across the street that may be a better choice.

Embarkation: We were on board very quickly. Staff at port was friendly and efficient. We received our luggage by 2 PM – fastest ever. It was nice to be fully unpacked an hour before muster.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin E1

Cabin was roomy and well thought out. Balcony was extra large because of location at edge of hump.

Port Reviews

Boston

Great port to do on your own without a tour.

Portland (Maine)

Rented a car and toured lighthouses.
