Sail Date: Aug 2017

Our recent 7 day river cruise on the AMAdante included the Moselle, Rhine and the Mein rivers. When traveling on the Mein river the upper deck was closed for most of last 3 days of the cruise. It appeared to be because of the low bridges, but there was no explanation nor was upper deck opened in between the bridges. This greatly limited the outdoor space for the passengers and forced the smokers to encroach on what little outdoor space there was for the 100+ passengers.

Not being able to be outside and enjoy the river from this perspective compromised the cruise experience for us. We are disappointed that AMAwaterways does not disclose this type of information ahead of time. If we had known we would not be able to use the outer deck for almost half the cruise, we would have selected a different cruise.

The only other disappointment was the quality of the food. There was very little regional cuisines and often the entree was overcooked.

Too short a time for a city this size.
