We saw everything we hoped we would see and it was lovely. However, the ship itself was very poor. Within an hour of boarding the Captain informed us that there was a "level 3 sanitation" in progress. We soon discovered this meant complete shut down of swimming pools, saunas, jacuzzi, games room and laundrette. We were not informed of this problem before boarding but we had to sign that we had not suffered with any stomach problems up to two days prior to boarding. Surely, that should be obligatory on both sides. Our cabin stewardess told us that they had had a problem onboard for the previous two weeks. Unfortunately, because we didn't complain about this to anyone onboard at the time Thomsons have denied, verbally by telephone, that the ship had not logged any problems so therefore there hadn't been a problem and they didn't know what "level 3 sanitation" meant anyway.
We did find it a bit strange that we could still pay to use the computers to access the internet which was next to the games room where all games were locked away.
We have cruised on the Celebration a number of times and always been happy with everything but we are bitterly disappointed with the outcome of this cruise.
The cabin itself was acceptable, although our friends who travelled with us could not see much out of their window as it was covered with a brown substance like a varnish
