This is second Princess cruise to Alaska. 5 total princess plus 3 others. First cruise tour. Loved land portion. Princess lodge rooms not up to normal Princess standard. Lodges themselves are great. McKinley lodge very isolated. Cruise itself was let down from last Princess cruise to Med in 2012. Caribe deck cabin with large balcony is best option for balcony cabins. Room was clean, steward very attentive, on downside on other lines you get a couch without going to mini suite. Quality of food was very good. Crown Grill was as outstanding as we remembered. On the downside. Fewer choices in main dinning room than in the past. It just seems there was less there to choose from than last time. Buffet was good, but as it was cold in Alaska outdoor spaces were not good choice to sit, inside tables hard to come by at times. Hot tubs are about 98 to 100 degrees. Need to be 102 plus for Alaska. Casino had no holdem tournament which is my only casino pleasure. All in all good cruise ( never had bad cruise). Have pre booked another Princess cruise but may investigate Celebity next time.
