Chose this one way cruise on Coral Princess to experience inside passage, excursions in Ketchikan, Juneau, and Skagway, plus Glacier Bay National Park and College Fiord. Outstanding scenery and wonderful excursion opportunities: did rainforest hike in Ketchikan, helicopter tour to Juneau Icefield, White Pass Rail trip in Skagway, all of which were outstanding. Had one night in Vancouver before departing; fun, interesting city with trendy downtown area near pier. Embarkation was incredibly well run and efficient. Entire process (baggage drop off, registration, customs, and security) took 45 minutes. Ship was beautifully appointed, with multiple restaurants, lounges, fitness center, spa, card room, library, small casino, art gallery, etc. Stayed in balcony cabin that was relatively spacious, nicely decorated, with plenty of closet/drawer space. Shower is tiny and was a little fussy regarding water temperature. Chose "anytime" dining for dinner; food was very good to excellent and the staff was incredibly attentive but not overbearing. Lunch buffet was very good to excellent; breakfast was excellent with lots of choices. Main entertainment (musical revues, comedy show, magician) was very good (better than expected), the lounge acts were good/okay, the piano bar was excellent. Service in all respects was excellent, friendly, and helpful. Naturalist on board was knowledgeable; guest speaker (first woman to win Iditarod) was inspiring; documentaries on Alaskan culture, history, geology, wildlife, etc. were outstanding. Travelled with our two 20 something year old sons who of course entertained themselves. Great family experience, not many other young adults on vessel which was fine by us, and they had a terrific time.
Our cabin was beautifully appointed, more spacious than expected, and the bed was comfortable (queen configuration). Plenty of closet/drawer space. Plenty of electrical outlets. Balcony was very spacious and comfortable. Shower is tight.
