Sailed from Sydney to Darwin on Sea Princess. Ship is showing its age a little, but well maintained, clean and fabulous crew and amenities. Cabin (C627) balcony suite was small but very comfortable, clean and in good condition, comfortable bed, very quiet and not far from lifts. Cafe dining buffet was good (probably 7 out of 10), and restaurants were very good (8 out of 10), but steak house was divine (9 out of 10 - no one is perfect, but this went close!!). Fantastic, friendly and helpful staff everywhere despite being poorly paid (they rely heavily on tips to make a reasonable living). Evening entertainment was fantastic, particularly geared for an older audience. Very few children on the cruise, and fortunately those that were on board (this time) were quiet and well behaved. Excellent value for money and Princess cruises will be well up on our list for our next cruise adventure.
Smallish, but everything was good quality (except lousy fridge), small TV but good selection of recent movies made cabin a great place to escape to during the day. Bathroom/toilet is small be clean and functional, and serviced every day. Next time, however, we would get a mini-suite and have a bit more room
Been to Brissie many times, nothing we wanted to see, so stayed on the boat and watched a good movie
