I chose this cruise for the stops and the fact that it was a southbound cruise and the dates fit into my calendar.
It was a great cruise. We did have a hiccup and were not able to dock in Skagway due to a rock/mud slide at the port. Instead we docked at Haines. while disappointing, it was not the cruise company's fault. At least we got to dock and were able to take a water ferry to Skagway and complete our tour. Fortunately I had booked a private tour that was accommodating.
The staff on the ship were awesome--they wait on you hand and foot and you never have to wait for anything! (except the elevators). We had a great balcony room.
Cabin was on an upper floor and in the top of the ship. Great room. Carpet could use replacement and above us was the pool deck, so there were times when you could hear staff rolling carts or walking. HOwever, it didn't last past 10 pm or so and wasn't a problem.
this was a glacier viewing day from the cruise ship. To be honest, by this time, we were a little glacier'd out.
