We did an Alaska cruise with Silversea two years ago and really liked the ship and the cruise line, so we went with Silversea again when looking for a Baltic cruise. We were generally satisfied, though there were a few things we would like to see done differently. First, they scheduled the Captain's welcome and the first enrichment lecture during the initial sailout from Stockholm. We didn't want to miss those events but would have preferred being on deck for the sailout.
We had only two complaints about service. One night the service was way below standard in La Terraza - both food and wine. We mentioned this to the manager and it was much better on subsequent visits. The other issue was that our butler walked into our suite once without knocking or waiting to be invited. The same thing happened to a friend who was traveling with us. Rather strange.
All in all, it is hard to beat Silversea. We will cruise with them again.
The suite was great. We especially like having two sinks in the bathroom, a feature that has led us to seek out cruises on Silver Shadow/Silver Whisper, as most of the other ships in the fleet do not have that feature.
