I liked the itinerary--an Alaska cruise, and Oceania has been our go-to cruise line for 10 years. While somewhat expensive, we always enjoy ourselves, given their EXCELLENT quality of food and service all the time. Shore excursions are OK, but overpriced, and their wi-fi is sporadic and very much overpriced if you actually paying for it. Nightly entertainment is OK, but not great, and the entertainers double as co-ordinators of sports activities (such as shuffleboard, putting contest, bean-bag toss, etc). The ship is always kept spotless as it is always being cleaned and polished. Common-area furniture is upscale. Large wine list, but most bottles are around $50 when the 18% service charge is factored in. All soft drinks and juices are always free, as is ice cream all day if you want it. Very informal atmosphere--formal clothing is never required, but "dressy casual" is required for dinner in the restaurants, but acceptable in the buffet. I've booked two more cruises as we feel the benefits outweigh the shortcomings of Oceania.
Cabin not large, but well appointed. Bathroom was small (especially the shower), but functional. Bed very comfortable and sheets changed daily; used towels changed twice daily. Turn-down service nightly during dinner. TV channels should be better--no CBS, NBC, ABC or Fox networks, or ESPN. News on MSNBC and Fox News only, as well as BBC and Sky News for the European passengers, along with several ship's channels which were of no use to me.
