My husband has been wanting to see Russia for years....I always hedged......but finally agreed to go this summer. Wow! What an eye opener. What was I thinking? Russia is just beautiful! We started our cruise in St. Petersburg where we visited the famous Hermitage, Catherine's Palace, the Marlinsky Ballet (stunning performance of Swan Lake) etc., and made our way to Moscow visiting quaint towns, UNESCO villages, gorgeous churches, monasteries, home visits, and then Moscow. Moscow with its beautiful subway, GUM department store, Kremlin, St. Basil's cathedral and endless other sites. The small boat ride at night was serene and gorgeous. The Viking Ingvar crew was incredible. All of them from Captain Igor, Sasha (our program director) who was organized, always pleasant, with a great sense of humor, Joachim (our executive chef), Daniel (maitre d), witty and talented both, to the crew behind the scenes were without equal. Our sweet waitress Helga and her assistant Yaro made mealtime happy. Valaria, Andrei and Dimitri were our wonderful, knowledgeable escorts. They did a terrific job. I truly believe this has to be the ship with the best crew....

Go to Russia! Go on the Ingvar!!!

Cabin Review

Veranda Stateroom

Cabin BX

It was a bit small, maybe we needed to upgrade but nonetheless it was clean, had a nice veranda and a meticulous cabin steward named Olga who kept our room tidy, and super clean.
