We wanted to do a river cruise and selected the Danube primarily because of the Classical music we expected to experience and learn about on the trip.

We didn't learn much about classical music, but we did experience a wonderful concert in Vienna and an organ concert at St Stephen's church in Passau. Tours of all the cities were excellent.

All the staff were excellent from the butlers to the captain, including the cruise director, ship manager, bursar's desk, wine stewards, etc. Everyone on staff was helpful and eager to please. It was as if we were all good friends. Especially kudos the cabin steward (butler) and housekeepers.

Cabin Review

Standard Stateroom

Cabin 5

Our room was sometimes referred to as a suite. To me it was a single room with two chairs; therefore not qualifying as a suite to me. However it was large enough and comfortable, very well stocked and very well attended by the staff.
