Overall this cruise held up to high Viking standards. Staff and crew were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. More regional food in the dining room would have been better for us. Food was tasty and prepared well. Bartenders and waiters were excellent and funny. Very entertaining. Ports and day excursions were well planned out and very informative. The longboat itself was very sleek and modern, but made one feel at home at all times.

Embarkation in Budapest went smoothly and on the last day in Amsterdam we were allowed to remain on board until our late transfer took place. We opted to remain in Amsterdam, because in reality, one does not see or visit Amsterdam on this tour. Two more tour days aboard ship in the city would be great.

I would definitely encourage any travelers to sail with Viking. They are always consistent and well organized. Airline packages are also a nice incentive to travel Viking. Many gateway cities are greatly reduced or free.
