If you want to feel welcome on a Cruise Ship then don't choose MSC Meravigila as you never feel in the least bit welcome particularly in the main dining room, on our cruise in was Waves where the staff were the most incompetent, rude, surly waiting staff I have ever come across in any dining establishment that I have been in with a very small exception of them in any way helpful or nice, it was apparent very quickly to me that there are major staff issues onboard this ship but whatever is going on should not be allowed to impact on people's hard earned holiday as it did on ours and others on this cruise, as regards the food I will just say there's massive room for improvement. This ship is suited best for families as MSC has forgotten about couples with no dedicated pool or jacuzzi area for Adults Only despite there been more than enough areas onboard to accommodate children and only one Adult Only lounge which was nice but only had a Jazz Band who were great if you wanted to go asleep, the Meraviglia Lounge had a good dance band but it's very small and it's very difficult to get a seat and is used as a children's playground. It amazes me that MSC have invested so much money in what is a nice new ship only to fall down so badly on the basics and don't expect to be thanked for cruising with MSC or wished a safe onward journey as you leave because nobody cares whether you stay or go.
