We explored Rome for 3 days before and after the cruise. Chose this cruise for the ports of call. Overall had great experiences in each port and Rome but the cruise itself was lackluster. From the beginning the Crew/Staff were not very friendly. For a small ship they had plenty of activities planned for the day but they were repetitive (3 different kinds of trivia every day). Main dining room experience was slow and unfriendly until the last day when they asked for good reviews and extra gratuity. Bar service was incredibly slow and we were even ignored sometimes. It was easier to tip big at the beginning to get any service. Watch out, the "deluxe drink package" only includes drinks up to $12 and the "wine of the day" was usually more than that. Our cabin and stateroom attendant were great, despite the terrible bed quality. We were often encouraged to buy more (specialty dining, spa, art, etc.) instead of providing a great experience from the beginning and letting that encourage us to pay for more. The entertainment was average overall, but this may be because it's a smaller ship and Royal Caribbean puts their better shows on the larger ships.

Cabin Review

Large Ocean View Stateroom

Cabin F

Plenty of space for 2 people, would've been cramped with any more. Plenty of hanging space, under-bed storage, drawers and mirrors for 2 women. Had a combination of European and American electrical outlets. The beds were not comfortable. Stateroom attendant was very good about picking up dishes and emptying the trash.

Port Reviews

Rome (Civitavecchia)

Flew in a few days early because there is SO much to see in Rome. Stayed by the Pantheon and loved it!
