My Wife booked this cruise for my 60th. I have cruised before but she hasn't. Based on that I told her to keep within safe waters like the Eastern Med. Wow... we enjoyed this trip so much. Firstly, I must add we always read reviews and this one did not come out on top, however, many just moaned about the poor deco or tired looking rooms etc. Many stated the cabins were too small and some said it was awful. Well let me assure anybody due out on this Majestic before its decommissioning in October you will not be sorry. Yes, the cabins are small, about the same size as a 2 birth caravan but plenty enough room to sleep and wash. With so much going on in the ship you would be silly to spend your time in your cabin. We choose an inside cabin which saved us money, if you prefer a port hole then pay the extra for the privilege of seeing the sunshine when you wake up. The cabin staff, Philipe & Mohamad could not do enough for us. They leave you alone when you want it, they clean your room if you require it. They leave nice touches such as chocolates on your pillows and turn your clean towels into swans or rabbits etc. The waiters in Seven Seas (our prefered choice) were nothing short of fantastic. I'll let you see what I mean when your there. We cannot comment on the four seasons restaurant because we stayed put in Seven Seas. Before entering any restaurants you will be greeted by the man with the gel, a quick squirt into your hands to ensure cleanliness. The food choice top class, again, will let you see for yourselves. Entertainment on the ship was very good. Live shows every evening in two sittings. Then afterwards another show such as a singer or comedian. We had Phil Doyle, a comedian who will have you in stitches for an hour. Disco's do go on until early morning but cannot comment as we didn't go. We had full board package which included all cocktails unless listed as extras. Drinks package in our view is a must because the prices you see are expensive and it wouldn't take you long before clocking up few hundred quid. To finish off I want you to know we were slightly worried about the reviews we read but so glad we ignored them. Talking to other guests they all said the same, so glad they ignored the negative reviews. My only regret is having a 7 night instead of 14. Can't wait for next cruise and will definitely book with Thompsons again. Happy Cruising.
