Traveled with children

We chose this cruise because the site boasted a promising family experience with plenty on board for little ones.

In actual fact if it's too cold for swimming and your little ones are too shy for the kids club then there is very little to pass the time. The kids club won't let adults get their kids sorted and settled so unless your child is willing to enter a strange room full of people they don't know without a backward glance to their parents, then chances are they won't stay.

There is also very little on the menu for kids, again if your child is happy with the kids club they can eat off the 'kids club only' buffet, otherwise they have to make do with the grownup buffet.

Cabin Review

Cabin Balcony obstructed view

Cabin was great, however there are big inconsistencies between cabins. Some were missing water, others were missing beach towels, others had remotes that wouldn't work. Seems like the cruise line needs to issue a checklist to make sure that all cabins come equipped with everything they should.

Can i just say that the obstructed view cabin is really great, the lifeboats didn't really obstruct my view at all!

Port Reviews

Mystery Island

wait until you're on the island, lots of excursions to choose from and a lot cheaper!

Sydney (Australia)

Got on the boat in reasonable time and everything was open which was great as we hadn't had lunch. The crew walk around with cocktails for purchase however this is only done on day one!

Noumea

I would advise to take the hop on hop off bus, there are two companies one aligned with the cruise ship and another local firm. Note the local firm was cheaper and seemed to have more buses.

Isle of Pines (New Caledonia)

More information on the walks on the island would have been good. Also there was a very limited number of people able to purchase the snorkel excursion.
