Chose this cruise for my 50th because of the ports & seemed like a good deal. Cabin was ok with good storage. Was disappointed with a few things. Missed out on ports due to weather. Would like to do it again at different time of year on a different line. The Edge was well over-priced with only 1/2 the activities listed available. Then missed out on several due to weather. Lucky to get any interaction from wait staff at meals- normally this is part of the cruise experience. A lot of staff didn't smile. Had to sleep with a 'toilet' smell from the aircon one night. One whole wash load was eaten (damaged) by the clothes dryer. Took about 10 days of badgering to get a birthday cake (gluten & dairy-free & not that hard to do), which only happened 5 days after talking to head chef. Very unimpressed with shore tours. Disorganised departures. Poorly defined- 90min drive took 3hrs! & Souvenier shops- jewellery & bags eg. purse $1000!! No meals provided on tours not returning till 2:30-3pm, then no resturants open. On our 3hr bus drive (no toilet) we were each handed a couple of sheets of toilet paper as there was no paper at the toilet stop.
