This is our 5 th cruise on NCL Gem and I can't wait to go again. This cruise line is awesome and the Gem is fantastic. The selection of speciality restaurants is great and the food is excellent. The free style dining is our favorite way to dine... no super fancy dress code and you can eat when you want. The waiters, stewards and butlers are always friendly, hardworking, professional and go out of their way to help and assist you.
The nighttime shows are very good and the Mandara Spa is the highlight of our trip every time. Norwegians private island, Great Stirrup Cay is awesome. After the tender drops you off on the island, you have no trouble finding a lounge chair waiting for you. Plenty of bars available and a great buffet lunch, including ribs, hamburgers, hotdogs, salads and fresh fruit. The beach has lifeguards and you can swim and snorkel in the nice clean water. Great music plays all day and you can return to the ship anytime since the tenders run all day.
The Gem has a lot to offer and I would definitely recommend it to anyone.
We knew that the cabin was only around 160 sq feet, but we were not going to spend much time there, so a bigger room was unnecessary. For a small room, there was a lot of closet and draw space and for my husband and I and we didn't need it all. Yes the bathroom is small, but again you don't spend a lot of time in there so why pay more for a bigger room. You might have a small room, but you get steward twice a day and a butler if you need anything else. Always had fresh towels and a freshly made bed every day and the room was kept spotless and clean
Just booked a shuttle bus from ship to Cocoa beach. Spent a few hours at the beach and pier swimming and eating.Great day
Awesome, awesome, awesome.
Didn't take an excursion, just walked around town for a few hours and shopped and had lunch. Enjoyed our day
