Have been with Thomson to the Baltic previously but choose this itinerary as covered all the Baltic Capitals - Oslo, Stockholm, Helsinki and Copenhagen. St Petersburg is still the jewel in the crown and there is so much to see. Weather was good throughout though some passengers got caught in thunderstorms in St Petersburg and Berlin when on tour. Sea conditions were OK apart from the open sea from Oslo down to Denmark. Captain did not mention this but crew said it was always rough there and a warning could have been given.

The ship is comfortable and adequate for the passengers it attracts. This cruise was mostly middle / old age people with a large propotion from Newcastle area and Scotland. Some one said it was all the people who would not fly for a cruise!

Food and dining was excellent and no complaints there. I think that they were not selling out the 3 charged for restaurants as they were touting for custom ever day on the lido deck.

Cabin Review

Cabin Deck 4 outside

Fine except 2 L shaped beds when I would have preferred a double. Should have checked before reserving. Showers have been updated and are better
