My husband and I have cruised around 15 times together. We have gone on Celebrity once before. We decided to book this cruise because it was a good deal for a balcony and went out of Miami, which is close to us.

We simply drove to port of Miami and parked in a lot close to the arena. They have a shuttle, but my husband usually walks because he doesn’t like to wait.

This ship has very nice public areas and is extremely well maintained. It is really clean and comfortable. The public areas are more “muted” than some cruise lines, but are very classy looking. We especially liked the fifth floor exterior area for sitting, but do wish it went all the way around for a nice “promenade.” We enjoyed the jogging track, but did not appreciate that a smoking area was set up by a bar right beside the track. No smoking policy in the casino was excellent because you could walk through without coming out feeling like a smokestack. The pool area is a little too small. The solarium area is very nice, but a little too cool. On the last two days at sea, people totally hog the seats by going out and putting towels across them early. Then, nobody is at those seats for sometimes, three or four hours. When that happens, it was very frustrating for other guests who were actually wanting to sit by the pool and relax. We noticed many people trying to find seats who were getting really irritated. That is one big thing that should be addressed.

Cabin Review

Honestly, I don't know WHAT category our room was. It was a lovely room. It's spacious, but not so big you can square dance or anything. The bathroom is bigger than most, with a shower that's a tad larger. In very good condition. The water is hard to get to a cooler temp in the shower. The room was updated well, had a nice tv, granite counters, pretty tile in bathrooms. There's plenty of storage space for two. The balcony was AMAZING!!! It was pretty quiet, although on port days, we could hear a lot of noise from those above us. I'm thinking a couple kids jumped out of their bunks, maybe. And, being on a balcony room means when you neighbors get breakfast delivered at 6:15 and eat that breakfast on the balcony, you will wake up. We really loved the room, though.
