We went with family that had cruised with Royal before. We did the Dolphin excursion, which was great. We ate mostly at the nice dining room (Remmington or Rembrandt??) and every meal was excellent. We ate at the Windjammer for lunch and it was a bit like the Golden Corral. There were many options to choose from, but the food wasn't seasoned as well . I am gluten free and would have liked to have have at least one type of pasta or bread with a gluten free option at the buffet. I was usually having to pick rice or just go with vegetables, as chicken was often breaded. Our cabin had a balcony and it was perfect. I never felt cramped in the room . The shows were really good ! I enjoyed Saturday Night Fever a lot, as they were a talented group of singers/actors. We will definitely go with Royal again and bring our kids, who are in high school and college.
The cabin was a perfect size. The bed was very comfortable and we slept well. The balconies are nice and big and make you feel like you are not in a small room.
