Sail Date: Jun 2017
Cabin: Deluxe Ocean-View Verandah Stateroom

We wanted a cruise that visited the ports of Venice, Dubrovnik and Barcelona and this one fit the bill.

The ship was disappointing - we sailed on the Royal Princess last year and that was a far superior experience in every sense.

The onboard experience was dull and uninspiring from the shops to the entertainment and the food.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Ocean-View Verandah Stateroom

Cabin VC

If it weren't for the problems that we encountered I would have given the cabin a much higher rating. The décor was fresh and attractive and the cabin was nice and quiet.

The bed was 2 singles joined together and the divide was very deep.

Port Reviews

Malaga

Horse and buggy ride and hop on hop off bus

Palma de Mallorca (Majorca)

Beautiful town with the most gorgeous cathedral

Toulon

Did a private tour to Cassis and Castellet

Monaco (Monte Carlo)

Visited last year so just the hop on hop bus

Rome (Civitavecchia)

Did a tour last year so went on hop on hop bus which was excellent but we got drenched - only day of rain. The Colliseum and the Fontana di trevi excellent

Taormina (Messina)

Really enjoyed the Godfather tour and then the other villages further up the mountain

Malta (Valletta)

Did not enjoy at all it was incredibly hot and the island appeared to be barren and dirty

Dubrovnik

Beautiful port - do not miss! Took the chair lift and had dinner at the restaurant at the top. Beautiful location and food.

Venice

an interesting perspective of the city from the waterway but Venice left me cold
