Chose the cruise knowing it was a simple four night, to two mediocre locations. ITS a getaway cruise not a discovery cruise. Catalina Island can be accessed by a two hour ferry ride from the Los Angeles Area. Ensinada is essentially Tijuana with a waterfront. SO WHY GO??

The sea day is relaxing, the boat small, gaudy by kind of nice and the service was pretty good.

The day in Catalina Island is fun. WE rented a golf cart [make sure you reserve one before your boat arrives] and toured the Island. And after two hours there is NOT that much to see, so if you want to enjoy the Island, plan an activity at least one in the day. NOTE: the Tenders are a pain in the butt, but understand they must be utilized because the Cruise lines are NOT allowed to dock at the port and they cannot build a real port on Catalina Island for environmental reasons. NO real need to get off the boat early, but be efficient.

Smallish cabin however GREAT GREAT GREAT steward.

I learned from earlier cruises to always tip upon arrival and you will find it the best five dollars you will ever spend.
