This was my second cruise with Royal Caribbean, but my first to Bermuda. The biggest criticism I had with the trip was the fact that we effectively only spent 24 hours in Bermuda with an arrival at 3PM the first day and a departure at 2:30PM the second day. There is a lot to see and do on the island, but the time limited your activities immensely.
This is my second trip on Grandeur with Captain Thor, and I have to say that as was the case last time, the service was excellent. The cabin attendants are very accommodating while the dining staff is always on point. The bar staff does alright for how busy they are, but like all bars it can be easy to fall through the cracks if they are very busy. The ship itself is starting to show it's age a bit, not all of the areas of the ship are completely accessible for those who are wheelchair bound, and the cabins themselves are a bit dated and a bit worn. The amenities of the ship however are decent, with two pools (saltwater) and six hot tubs (two reserved specifically for kids, the' rest for adults), outdoor screen, myriad activities, a casino, and a rockwall, but they don't have quite as many features as the latest ships. The Grandeur's class of ship (Voyager) has a tendency to be replaced early, with two of the previous ships in the class/era being sold already so it's unknown if Grandeur will continue to operate into 2018/2019, but because of the clearance under the Key Bridge just outside the port of Baltimore (Grandeur clears it by a mere 20 ft), the choices will either be keep Grandeur, get a new ship of similar size, or skip sailing into the port of Baltimore.
