This was my 6th cruise with Carnival and enjoyed it just as much as my first. Guy's burgers was a hit, we ate there everyday for lunch. The entertainment on deck was not as much entertaining as on some of the other ships but the shows were wonderful. The staff was amazing from the time we stepped on board to the time we left. I felt like I was coming home to family. We only dined in the restaurant only once because my husband likes to be more relaxed, the menu was nice and the food tasty. Our cabin staff always ensured that we had clean linen and room service was prompt. The fitness facility had a nice variety of equipment. The crew was very engaging and made it easy to get around. We had a ocean view cabin which had ample space for my husband and I, we were on the 4th floor. There were plenty of activities if you don't want to hangout on deck. Embarkation was smooth but disembarkation was very exhausting. The worst part of the entire trip was heading back to the airport. Getting through customs was a breeze but getting to the shuttle to head back to the airport was exhausting. The had multiple lines going at one time with no clear direction. The shuttles came, it seems every 30 minutes but seems could only hold about 50 people but there were over 200 people in line. Luckily our flight didn't leave until 4pm but for those who had a flight 1o'clock may not have made their flight. My suggestion is that if you have a flight before 1 pm to get off the ship as early as you can so that you will be less stressed.

Cabin Review

Ocean View

Always had clean towels and sheets. The cabin stewards made us feel like we were coming home each night.

Port Reviews

Half Moon Cay

We just hung out at the beach and soaked up some sun. Wonderful buffet prepared, but it was a bit far to walk from where we were on the beach.

Amber Cove (Puerto Plata)

Amazing and can't wait to get back. When we stepped off the ship I swore I stepped into a movie. The mountains and land is so plush with vegetation that I swore King Kong would come through the trees, later we found out that portion of the island was used in Jurassic Park, The people are amazing and our tour guide there was amazing. Not only did we travel around the city but we went to an actual chocolate factory and cigar factory. I was able to pick up so wonderful chocolate samples and coffee that smells just as amazing as it taste. The Amber Cove/Puerto Plata tour was wonderful we a beautiful stop for some authentic DR feast.
