We chose the cruise from Baltimore for the convenience of driving from Northern Virginia and parking at the port. The embarkation was a bit lengthy having to stay in line to check in to get our sea pass card (1.5 hours) and we got there around 1200. The disembarkation was as smooth a process as it could be, very organized. There were no delays getting on and off at Bermuda. The ship is the smallest of Royal Caribbean ships. Therefore, it does seem a bit cramped. The centrum is like the lobby of the ship where all the events and activities are planned. People can see down into the centrum from other decks. However, seating areas are limited and many people end up standing to see the performances. Dining room experience was excellent, some menu items were a hit and others were not. The service at Royal Caribbean is excellent from the staff at the buffet restaurant and dining room to the stateroom attendant. They all work very hard. The cabin is small, we paid extra to get a large interior stateroom but did not feel any bigger. When we booked the ocean view and balcony staterooms were sold out. Bed is comfortable, the bathroom is very small considering the size of the stateroom. On day 2 of our 5 night cruise the sea was very rough and our whole party felt sick (sea bands and Dramamine)but it only lasted the day, the rest of the sailing was fine. Windjammer café for breakfast and lunch gets crowded and we went with a group of 6 and it was tough getting a table we could all fit. We would have to go and sit at the dirty tables so we would have one. Some people with a party of two would sit in a large circular table while a party of six would have to separate ourselves. There could have been some sort of seating service in the windjammer to avoid this. The dining room seating was perfect, they gave us the same wait staff and same table even though we went at various times. They knew us by name and were very friendly. Dining room experience gets a 10/10. There were various entertainment shows throughout the ship, most times during our dining experience (which was the best and did not want to miss). Some of the shows at palladium were trying to sell things like the port shopping ( diamond international) or excursion shows. Even the television channels get you to go buy things from the stores on board. Entertainment director Tornado Tanya and Cruise director Cruisin Susan were excellent. They tried to get the crowds going with line dancing, games such as finish the song and belly flop. We travelled with a 11 and 6 year olds. There is only one pool for children to use as the other solarium pool is an adult only pool. The pool was not large and therefore was crowded with adults and young teens lined up on the ledge. The afternoon activities also ended up being in the pool like pool volleyball and belly flop so not much opportunities for the kids to be in the pool. They also don't tell you that if you don't return the towels borrowed at the pool with the Sea Pass card you will be charged $25 per towel. Therefore you have to stand in line and make sure they scanned the towel being brought back. Older kids seem to be having a great time. Unfortunately, besides the pool and adventure kids camp on the 10th floor there weren't many activities/shows geared towards kids. Port and shore excursions in Bermuda was a breeze. We walked off the ship and found a taxi service to take us around the island for three hours and also to horseshoe bay. They were all very dependable and professional and cost less than Royal Caribbean prices. We had our taxi guy come back in three hours to pick us up at Horseshoe bay and he was there on time. Service is the best thing on the ship from the time you get on to the time you get off. One of the negatives is staff trying to sell you other dining options or soda packages while you are eating at the buffet or sitting in the lobby. Everywhere you turned seemed like someone was trying to make more money off you from portraits to onboard shopping to special packages for dinner.

Cabin Review

Large Interior Stateroom

Cabin is very small and you have to go sideways to get to the king size bed (two twins put together). Storage was plenty. Bed and bedding was comfortable. room was clean and kept clean by stateroom attendant twice a day. In the evening while we are off to dinner, she would turn towels into different animals.
