We chose this cruise because our friends were celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary on this cruise and we wanted to celebrate with them. I enjoyed the ports and the ship was lovely. It also helped that we had perfect weather the entire time! My husband and I did not like the food at dinnertime. Many times we were disappointed because the menu would call the entree by one name and the dish was nothing like the description. For example, crepes were more like a casserole and the beef Stroganoff was actually a beef stew. The pizza on the ship tasted like cardboard. The morning lectures on the history of cruising and area lighthouses were excellent. The shows were average--nothing outstanding, and two nights there was only one show, which took place during our dinnertime. The ports were very interesting, despite the fact that we had been to them all several times. We found one tour in each port that we had never done and found most of them really good. We were disappointed with two of the tours but Royal Caribbean felt that we were justified in our disappointment and gave us partial refunds for them both. Although I felt that this cruise was very overpriced, I did have a good time and came back well-rested.

Cabin Review

Family Ocean View Stateroom

Cabin FF

The cabin was of average size for a balcony stateroom. Although my husband didn't have any trouble with bed comfort, I felt the bed was extremely uncomfortable. Even though the steward placed several bed paddings on the mattress, my hip bones felt like I had been sleeping on the hard floor. The location of our room was perfect. We were quite close to the elevator, near the center of the ship.
