This is our 12th carnival cruise, we chose Miracle for the itinerary. We decided to try a balcony aft cabin, which was a big mistake, I was still vibrating a day after I got home. We were on deck 7 and the way the balconies were angled made it easy for people to look directly at you, so there was very little privacy. Embarkation was fast, we were one of the first on board, we flashed our gold card and was eating lunch while the majority of the other cruise ship passengers were still waiting in line to get aboard. Serenity lounge is where we spent most of our days lounging in the cabanas, and enjoyed the pool when they refilled it with warm Mexican water. Entertainment- the after dinner show was pathetic it reminded me of a high school musical, probably the worst show at sea and I've been on 68 cruises. On the second night we received a private booth for 3 in the dinning room, we considered the food very good enjoying two lobsters each on captains night. The only negative in dinning was the lukewarm soup, and the oysters rockefeller was the worst we've ever tasted, and if you like ceaser salad I recommended bringing your own dressing because Carnival considers mayonnaise with a hint of anchovies as ceaser dressing. Our favorite activity was the bean bag toss, we beat the best teams aboard and got first place. The bean bag toss was held almost every day so we definitely enjoyed playing. The ports we visited were Cabo, Mazatlan and Puerto Vallarta. We reserved a super ponga and the boat, the captain, and live bait were waiting for us. We only fished for 3 hours but we got 5 fish, 4 were pez gallo (roosterfish). Mazatlan, we walked to the boats to take us to stone island, I saw the cruise critics recommended Victors on the beach however nothing was going on over there so we moved to the shaded cabanas at Carmelitas and enjoyed the banana boats. As we were leaving, we saw the place right next door to Carmelitas serving huge barbeque shrimp. In PV, we enjoyed 3 halves of lobster on the beach I believe it was called Playa Los Muertos for only 350 pesos which was around $18. All in all it was an enjoyable cruise, but we don't plan to going to mexico again next year because the Splendor is the worst in the Carnival fleet. ps the room service turkey sandwich is the best you'll ever eat
