Slightly dated ship but clean with hardworking friendly staff. Food in restaurant and Lido very good. Entertainment good. Friendly happy atmosphere on board. Only problem is the queuing, queue to book excursions, to be told they were full. Tours complete shambles no organisation, people missed Flam railway trip because they could not get on tender boats and missed train they were booked on. Shuttle buses late in turning up, people told 25 mins walk to town, actually 90 mins through an industrial area with no foot paths. More queues to get on shuttle buses. Next day shuttle buses late again, 2 turned up these had to be shared with another cruise boat. On returning to ship, waterline had dropped, so gang plank on deck 2 had about 3 foot entrance to embark. Nightmare exiting ship again everyone queuing to exit. Our passports were never checked when we boarded at Newcastle, After 3 phone calls,and 1 visit to metrocentre Gateshead shop and 2 calls to customer service to get our tickets, I found this worrying, especially because they had no contact details for us, they had the shop address as ours. I wrote a letter of complaint to Thomson recorded delivery but they never acknowledged my letter. Shore excursion staff had no organisation skills whatsoever. We had a German guide who was very good, another time we had a French guide who spoke very poor English and at the end of tour she was missing so bus driver had to go and find her. The crew are very hardworking but badly let down by staff wh should no better
Clean well equipped plenty of room
