Did this cruse 15 years ago and being our first cruse was a bit overwhelmed, so wanted to have a do-over. This time we were ready with better excursions and did the weather really cooperated for us providing nearly clear days. We even saw the entire Denali range cloud free from the McKinley lodge! Our itinerary brought us to the Kenai lodge where we took the Kenai Fjords cruse and that was fantastic seeing glaciers, whales, sea lions and puffins. We were on the Star Princess last time and while the ship showed some wear it was still in very good shape as far as I was concerned. Did not attend many of the shows, but movies under the stars was fun. As for the shipboard excursions I liked the White Pass railroad tour the best although all of them were good. In all, I thought Princess did very well and would recommend this trip to others.
