Overall the trip was wonderful, but there were some larger scale issues we encountered that certainly did not ruin the trip, but caused some discomfort (this will be at the end of the con section)
Pros: All of the employees we interacted with were friendly, respectful, and very efficient at their job. The food for the most part was very good. Having dinner in the Rotterdam dining room was definitely the right choice, although the Lido buffet was not bad either. They had an excellent selection of vegetarian and gluten free options as well. We travelled with 3 children under 3 years old and were always very well taken care of by the wait staff. The price of the drinks was actually very reasonable, so don't waste your money on a drink package unless you plan on having 7 plus drinks per day per person!
Cons: Drinks were good, but could have been a little bit stronger. About 2 days into the trip, the 9th floor (Verandah) rooms began "flooding". Essentially, the piping from the dishwasher from the buffet restaurant had clogged and the dirty dishwasher water was being re-routed accidentally to the bathrooms on our floor...lettuce etc. Luckily, our room was just barely out of the extreme splash zone and we only suffered with lettuce water bubbling up in our sink and tub. Other rooms had to be evacuated due to true flooding in the entirety of their rooms. The staff was very attentive to cleaning the bathrooms which was nice. However, once the problem had been "fixed", the bubbling into the tub and sink happened a few more times and to many other rooms on our floor. Our party was compensated with onboard credits for this issue and we were met with good customer service, but this shouldn't have been an issue in the first place. Do routine cleaning of the piping please! This was gross!
