We were a total group of 17 in a variety of accommodations ranging from Owner's Suites to inside staterooms. We were all treated the same...POORLY. First I had to find my own luggage which was wet from being left outside in a rain storm. Boarded the ship at 11am for a 5 pm sailing and nothing to do on the ship (besides hunt for luggage).
Staff is generally unfriendly. Most (not all) bartenders were inattentive and unfriendly. After the week on the ship and talking to crew, I have come to the conclusion that this particular route is where the new crew is. My guess is that because of seniority, better, more experienced crew are on the Med cruises.
Dining was ordinary other than Chop's, which was excellent. Giovanni's Table was horrible.
Cabin was great. Lot's of room and a big balcony. We had a large group, so our cabin was the meeting place for drinks.
We had time in Stockholm before and after the cruise. It is a clean, safe and entertaining city. Gamla Stan (the Old Town) is fun and nice for cafes and tourist shopping. MAke sure to visit the VAssa Museum.
Helsinki is a new city by European standards. It is nice, clean and safe. We did a hop-on, hop-off bus from the port to visit the city. Not a whole lot to see. Rock church, ok.
We were in Tallinn because it was a port of call on our cruise. Old town is a 10-15 minute walk from the port. If the weather is nice, no need to a shuttle.
The town is great if you enjoy history and medieval cities. It is a lot like Kotor. Fun to walk around. Nice shops. I don't think you need to have a formal tour for this city.
