Our third river cruise and second with Uniworld. We previously sailed with Uniworld from Amsterdam to Budapest and loved it. This cruise, from Amsterdam to Basel,( with a detour down the Moselle) had only two stops in common with our earlier cruise. The scenery along the Moselle was outstanding. Much of our free time was spent on the top deck. The cabin was small, but adequate. The food was great and the service was nothing short of outstanding. Several people had problems with their airline reservations which weren't apparent until the day before our disembarkation. Denisa, the cruise director, spent a lot of time on the phone straightening everything out and everyone seemed satisfied. All of the tours were interesting but our favorites were Luxembourg, Trier, Strasbourg, and Colmar. We spent two days prior the cruise in Amsterdam. It was worth it. It gave us time to adjust to the time change and do a walking tour of Amsterdam. We also spent three days after the tour in Basel. Another great time exploring a lovely city. It's a very expensive city, however, and I would recommend getting a hotel room that includes breakfast. We are already planning our next cruise with Uniworld.
A little small but adequate. The suitcases go under the bed, and you really don't spend much time in the cabin anyway. A cabin close to the center of the ship was helpful when I forgot something and had to return to the room quickly.
Took the bicycle tour along the Moselle. More traffic than the bicycle tour I took from Passau to Austria.
