The ports of call were the reason why we chose this cruise. We have never cruised with the Princess line before and I have to say I would never do it again. The food and service was just average. There is a daily cabin charge of $15 per day per person and we felt that was too much for what we got. The towels were frayed and dindy and we had to ask housekeeping to change our sheets. The portions of the meals in the main dining room were so small. We only went there for breakfast once because it was too frustrating to keep asking for butter, jam, syrup, etc. They don't give you that on each table and our eggs and pancakes arrived cold. If you want to see lobster, steak, or crab, you have to go to a specialty restaurant and pay $29 pp. We tried both specialty restaurants and had bad service at the steak house. Our waiter was so inattentive we asked to be moved to another table. Plus, there are too many people on this ship and not enough crew. The crew always appeared to overworked and in a hurry. Not the relaxing high-end environment that is advertised on the Princess website. Don't believe marketing hype. Sorry to say that Princess did not deliver as promised.
